Mark’s Photos- #24
On Monday, Feb. 25, 2019, the snow had been falling all night, and by 10 a.m. there were 11 inches on the ground. Downed electrical lines and broken tree limbs had taken out power for large sections of Eugene. Our house was one of those to lose power. So rather than shiver inside, Nancy and I went for a walk. A winter wonderland awaited us outside. I took this picture a block from our home as Nancy, in her red jacket, walked up Olive Street.

It snows in Eugene! Who knew! Locals probably. One red bit of sunshine among the snowy evening.
It snows every couple years, or used to. That year we had another storm later in the week for anther 9 inches, or 20 inches for the year. It was a record breaker for us.
