Mark’s Photos- #30

To day I came across a photo from the Pacific Crest Trail (PCT) in 2014. High in the Sierra Mountains on a section of the PCT that is also shared with the John Muir Trail (JMT), I walked by a series of stunning alpine lakes. One group of these lakes is known as the Rae Lakes. At 9 a.m. on the last day of May, the sun had not yet made it to the lake. The dark water of Middle Rae Lake was completely still and was acting as a near-perfect mirror. In the distance, Black Mtn and Painted Lady Mtn were posing in the sunlight. The stage was set and I took this photo of the scene.
